Dancing on Ice 2014: Week 7 - Girls V Boys Week

Suzanne Shaw became the latest celeb to be voted off of this year's Dancing on Ice competition. Suzanne lost out in the skate off to Kyran Bracken in a decision that very few fans would have expected given Shaw's generally superior skills.

This week, a battle between the girls and boys was set in motion and the show was extra feisty as each skater represented their sex. There were some top performances in the show from Beth Tweddle, Hayley Tamaddon, Ray Quinn and Sam Attwater. Suzanne Shaw definitely put in the sexiest routine of the night to Black Velvet while Kyran Bracken performed poorly to the upbeat Macklemore's Can't Hold Us.

When it came time for the skate off, Suzanne performed to Madonna's Music while Kyran Bracken reverted back to last weeks 80s theme by skating to Michael Jackson's Billie Jean. Compared to last weeks skate off though, this one was error strewn with both Shaw and Bracken making a number of errors.

The judges were quick to let them both know that their performances were sub standard and they made it clear that the biggest factor in their decision was the error count. On that criteria, Shaw was immediately behind the eight ball. In the end, they judges saved Bracken and kept him around for week 8 mostly due to him making fewer mistakes in his final routine.

Shaw admitted afterwards that the tension of the skate off meant that unfortunately her nerves got the better of her. The 2008 Champion had never been in a skate off before and it was certainly telling in the end.

Last week, fans favourite Gareth Gates was eliminated and losing Suzanne Shaw this week means that only 5 celebrities remain. Tune in to Week 8 of Dancing on Ice 2014 next Sunday at 6.15pm on ITV 1.
