Bruno banned in Ukraine

Once again our boy Bruno is hitting the headlines for all the reasons that Sacha Baron Cohen prays for when he starts a film project; controversy, and lots of it.

The film, which has been a wild box office success in the UK and US, has been banned in the Ukraine because spoilsport thought police have decided that it’s obscene, improper and bad for public morals.

‘(Bruno is an) artistically unjustified exhibition of sexual organs and sexual relations, homosexual acts in a blatantly graphic form, obscene language, sadism and antisocial behaviour which could damage the moral upbringing of our citizens,’ said the country’s Culture Ministry. Good thinking, no-one will want to watch the film now, oh no.
