Billy Connolly

The much loved Scottish comedian has been on the circuit a long time but never fails to make us laugh. As well as numerous comedy performances and awards Connolly is also an accomplished actor staring in TV and film. Unfortunately his health has suffered recently but we hope that treatment will have him continuing to make us all laugh for many years to come.

Michael McIntryre

With his floppy hair and posh boy image Michael McIntyre can turn any day to day activity into a rolling on the floor laugh fest. His rise to comic stardom has been meteoric and he is reported to be the highest grossing comedian in the world! He was the youngest ever presenter of the Royal Variety Performance and has been a judge on Britain’s Got Talent. He has won numerous awards for his comedy and completed an Arena tour within the last 12 months.

Jimmy Carr

Jimmy Carr is a comedian known for his dry wit, one liners and often controversial jokes. He has completed numerous stand up shows but is currently likely best known as presenter of 8 out of 10 Cats. He has also hit the headlines for his involvement in a K2 tax avoidance scheme revealed by investigation by The Times. He later apologised for his error of judgement and viewing figures for his 8 out of 10 cats show at that time doubled!

Peter Kay

Peter Kay is a stand up comic who rose to fame after winning the show “Show you Think you are funny?” on Channel 4. He also had a successful Live at the Top of the Tower show back in 2000. He holds the record for the biggest selling stand up tour with his latest tour, The Tour that Didn’t Tour, a record officially acknowledged by the Guiness book of Records. Peter Kay has had many TV appearances in shows such as Pheonix Nights and has done Comic Relief work including releasing a cover of the Tony Christie song Is this the Way to Amarillo which reached number 1 in the charts.

Sarah Millican

There are plenty of funny ladies out there too with one of the favourites being Sarah Millican. She began her comedy career after her divorce. She debuted at Edinburgh Festival Fringe and went on to appear as a panellist in mainstream programmes such as 8 out of 10 cats. She is now a successful stand up with DVD’s and nationwide tours under her belt and who, earlier this year voted as one of the most powerful 100 women in the UK by Radio 4’s Women’s hour.
