Brad for President

We're not sure how 'Brad to mount Presidential Campaign' was slipped into the end of a Daily Mail article without so much as the raise of an eyebrow, but it was. There we were reading a garden variety article about the power couple spending some down time at the beach, when the boldest statement since Arnie confessed to harbouring scary political ambitions, jumped out. Apparently, Brad hasn't got much else to do with his life apart from become President. Brad, we sympathise. But surely it would be simpler to have a bash at that acting rite of passage - directing, than topple Obama from his perch...

Fear not Obama-ites. Brad won't be making his bid until 2016. A source - who we suspect doesn't exist, elaborates: ‘There’s not much left for him to do in Hollywood. Brad feels there’s a lot more for him to do in politics, especially considering the rough years the world had experienced recently. Brad will run for Senate and if all goes well will mount a bid to become President in 2016.

We're not sure what qualifies move stars to be politicians (aside from the auto-cue aspect) - surely the same thing that qualifies actors to become rockstars and celebrity offspring to become fashion designers. Still, at least Brad's a bit of a lefty...
