Bill ain’t afraid of no ghosts

Nostalgia is a funny thing. Things which were regarded as a bit of embarrassing fun in the Eighties are often reminisced about now as a fond landmark in time. Case in point: Ghostbusters. Yes, the first installment was great. A brilliant cast consisting of Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd, Harold Ramis, Sigourney Weaver and Rick Moranis goofballed about with an hilarious script and some cracking - at the time, special effects. But the follow up, Ghostbusters 2, was a weak crib of the first, and the idea of a third film shelved for its own good.

Well all has been forgotten and forgiven. Rumours have been doing the rounds that a final chapter in the trilogy is in the pipeline, despite ghostbusting geeks not having had much in the way of information to go on. Legendary grumpster Bill Murray has told The Daily Mail that he will star in the film, but not as we know him:

‘I'll come back in Ghostbusters 3 only if I get to be a ghost. I said to them [Hollywood], 'I'll do it if you kill me off in the first reel'. So now they are going to have me as a ghost in the film.'

So, Bill's on board and Dan, Harold, Rick and Sigourney are all heavily rumoured. We don't know about you, but we can't bleeding wait.
