Yesterday we reported that Paris Hilton has escaped jail by admitting to a Las Vegas court that she had been in possession of cocaine when she was arrested by coppers, and that she had lied to the police about it. Her lawyer were clearly smart enough to realise that no jail is better than jail, even if she’d be put in a cushy little cell away from weirdos.
However, it looks like the heiress is going to suffer some consequence for her actions; Japan yesterday refused her entry into the country, detaining her at the Airport Rest House after being detained for six hours while authorities discussed whether she should be allowed in or not. Her family were waved through, so we can assume that her recent drug busts have put a black mark against her name in the Land Of The Rising Sun.
‘Paris was contractually bound to her business trip and didn't want to let down her brands and many Asian fans,’ said her spokesperson. ‘She is trying hard to do the responsible thing, but this is beyond her control. She is very disappointed.’
