Best-selling albums of 2007

This year may seem like the craziest year in showbiz with meltdown mayhem and multiple reformations. However, despite all the tabloid fodder generated, there has been some good stuff being created, by what seems like a bunch of lunatics. Amy Winehouse is up for six Grammy awards with her best-selling album, Back to Black. And journalists have described Britney’s latest release ‘as her best work yet’.

Shocked? Well, we’ve seen throughout history that the best work has been done by those who haven’t exactly been the full shilling. (Although putting Britney in with the tortured geniuses may be pushing it.)

So let’s look at this year’s most downloaded albums.  What do you think?

1: Amy Winehouse – ‘Back to Black’
2: Mika – ‘Life in Cartoon Motion’
3: Arctic Monkeys – ‘Favourite Worst Nightmare’
4: Mark Ronson – ‘Version’
5: Newton Faulkner – ‘Hand Built by Robots’
6: Take That – ‘Beautiful World’
7: Foo Fighters – Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace’
8: Kaiser Chiefs – ‘Yours Truly, Angry Mob’
9: Snow Patrol – ‘Eyes Open’
10: Timbaland – ‘Shock Value’
