Ashley Banjo's Secret Street Crew: The Estate Agents from Southampton

The sixth episode of Ashley Banjo's Secret Street Crew, Series 2 takes us to Southampton, where five estate agents are about to meet Ashley Banjo and the Diversity boys. "Confident, cocky, flashy" is what the Got To Dance judge expects to see before meeting the lads, and confident, cocky and flashy is what he gets once he arrives there.

This time Ashley guessed it right: for the estate agents, it's all about the money, the luxury cars and the expensive watches. Their self confidence can only be described as borderline arrogance, and the fact that top negotiator Lee 'Legend' Carr seriously believes that in a matter of days one of them will be good enough to be asked to stand in for a Diversity member - adding "probably me" - well, says it all, doesn't it?

The estate agents have three weeks to learn a street dance routine, which they will perform in front of families and rival estate agents during a quite formal event: the industry awards evening. The stakes are high: reality is that due to the nature of their profession, a botched performance could seriously harm their reputation and turn them into laughing stock both on and off the field.

We soon discover that the estate agents better prepare for disaster: the first cringeworthy assessment only proves that their dancing skills are fairly non-existent, and that the wannabe b-boys are nowhere near the level they think they are at. Ashley decides to assign the lads an extremely challenging routine featuring complex moves (including a 'dolphin'). It's to see how hard he can push them, he says, but it might be just to teach their big egos a lesson.

Despite these guys being irritatingly self assured and really cocky, Ashley explains that their 'sell, sell, sell' approach this time is not going to work. "At the end of the day, selling is blagging, and when it comes to this routine, there is no blagging involved". The first rehearsal in front of passers-by in the middle of the City in London only proves him right: the estate agents are painful to watch, and the public is not impressed at all.

With a week to go, it seems pretty unlikely they will be able to deliver a decent performance on the awards night. One of the lads declares: "We've got a long way to go, literally, if we'd stayed up 24 hours for the whole time, I still don't know if we're gonna be ready". Ashley decides then to modify the dolphin move in order to make the routine more achievable, but will that be enough?

The final day arrives and the estate agents make their way to the über-elegant Grand Harbour Hotel where they pretend to be at ease, mingling with their family, friends and industry competitors. But despite the confident facade, it's clear they are quite worried about the performance. However, failure it's just not an option, and the lads manage to pull off a convincing show. The public can't get enough of them, and some family and friends are even in tears. Everyone is cheering, and we are sure this experience will stay with the Southampton estate agents for a very long time.
